The lower abdomen is like a bustling metropolitan city! It's where we digest food, create important blood sugar-regulating hormones, and filter the blood to remove stuff the body doesn't need anymore. And all these helpful, squishy organs are protected by layers of muscle that, you guessed it, can become tender and may affect your pelvic floor muscles as well.

Kiwi can be a helpful friend for digestion woes (i.e. constipation):

  • Use the ILU massage to stimulate motility through the colon
  • Play around with vibration if this feels good to you!

Kiwi can also be helpful when our abdominal muscles or connective tissue are feeling tender:

  • Use the broader ends to apply direct pressure, playing around with vibration
  • Try this sitting, standing, or laying down
  • Use upward and downward strokes
  • When dealing with a C-section scar, gently pull up and away from the scar or use small circles to help desensitize and break up this scar tissue
